White Fused alumina powder for brake wear resistance material
White fused alumina powder (white corundum powder) is a wear-resistant material for train brake pads. It can significantly improve the performance of the brake system. With the continuous development of China’s high-speed rail technology, the train braking device has also been updated. The friction materials used in train brake pads are usually asbestos organic materials, non-asbestos organic materials, semi-metallic materials, and powder metallurgy cermet materials. Organic friction materials and alloy friction materials traditionally have low braking performance and heat resistance. Now, it is gradually replaced by semi-metallic materials and powder metallurgy cermet materials.
Spraying a metal-ceramic coating on the surface of the friction material made of powder metallurgy metal-ceramic composite material can make the friction material have good wear resistance and high-temperature resistance. Usually, there add some aluminum oxide to the metal-ceramic coating.
The aluminum oxide mentioned here goes with Electrofused aluminum oxide powder. White fused Alumina is a high temperature smelted abrasive powder at more than 2000 degrees.
The white corundum has features such as:
high melting point
high hardness
strong wear resistance
high thermal strength,
Good thermal stability.
strong chemical stability
corrosion resistance.
The synthetic material brake piece can improve thermal stability, disperse heat, increase the toughness of the composite material. In the meantime, it reduces the thermal decay rate, and improves the wear resistance and bearing pressure of the synthetic material.
